I think it will depend on how committed we are and whether or not we manage to enlist others. I think that, in order for this to be a truly useful resource, we will require the input of some varied perspectives. I can certainly aid in addressing issues that I have experienced, but my convert experience will necessarily be different from that of others. For example, coming from a white and highly westernized background and having converted largely because I felt a connection with the creator and a deep love for the Prophet (s.a.w.), the practice of Islam was not something I knew much about upon converting. Most of that learning took place after the fact. I have, however, had the great pleasure of meeting some converts who came from strong Christian backgrounds, who found their faith in God was already being addressed through their original religion, but that the modes of practice suggested within that framework felt inadequate. These converts seemed to have converted largely and more specifically /for/ the modes of conduct etc.--because these felt like a more true way to live the will of Allah. Our experiences, from conversations with such converts, have been very different. Hence, I think for it to be a comprehensive site, there will need to be others involved and, of course, this means that the reality of the launch date is potentially interfered with by schedules, and the pace of all those involved.

... a long answer to a fairly simple question, but there it is.

Jaaza ka Allah for that heavy download answer. Will respond in the morning in detail.

I think a Quranic study section would be really helpful.
